Project Requirements

We believe it is of paramount importance for our clients to be involved in the full development cycle, from the initial contact to the full implementation of the working version. We like to have regular discussions with our clients to keep them informed of the project's progress, to supply the latest versions for user acceptance testing and to discuss any concerns they may have.

There are several key stages in the development of business systems software and we ensure that all of these are encompassed in the project planning stage. Development Stages

  • Initial consultation with the client to understand the clients concerns and requirements in relation to the business.
  • To complete a project scope to encompass the client's requirements and to provide an overview of the full system development cycle.
  • Provide a complete system specification showing database design. This will include individual flow charts, field and table details and the layouts for screens and reports. At this time it is important for discussion with the client to ensure there are no major discrepancies
  • The development of the system including the programming and development of screens and reports. This stage will be split into several phases. As one phase is completed, the client may see how the development is proceeding and also be able to have a look and feel of the system. This also allows the client to test this part of the system, whilst the next phase is developed. As the second phase is completed and installed, any problems relating to phase one can then be easily encompassed within the next phase. This will continue to the last phase and final user acceptance testing. By developing the system in this way we can save time and keep the client's development costs to a minimum.
  • Installation of the finished system and the provision of the systems documentation and user documentation if required.

  • Although the application software is guaranteed for life, we as a business give our clients 2 weeks to fully test the system before the final system sign off.
